The console is a phone, not a desktop.
Merchant software written for a desk goes unused in a business run from a pass.
Restaurant back offices have computers. Restaurant decisions happen standing up, twenty steps from the grill, in the ninety seconds between tickets.
So the partner console was designed phone-first and kept deliberately shallow: today’s numbers, live offers, one action to fire a happy hour. Depth lives in reporting, which genuinely does get read at a desk.
If a merchant has to walk to an office to use your tool, they will use it weekly instead of nightly — and nightly is where the value is.
The test we apply to every addition: could a busy manager do this one-handed, without reading anything twice? Most proposed features fail it, which is usually the right answer.
