Forsa blog
Saving per order is the honest metric.
If the average saving falls, Forsa is working less well — no matter what the order count says.
Marketplaces drift. As volume grows there is constant quiet pressure to shave the discount, widen the fee, and let the value proposition erode a percent at a time.
The defence is making the customer’s side a tracked metric with the same standing as revenue. Average saving per order is reported internally next to orders, every week.
Any marketplace can grow for a year by getting slightly worse for its users. The bill arrives later.
It is a constraint rather than a target. We are not trying to maximise the discount; we are trying to notice immediately if it starts falling.
